Hope and Shabbat, The Place and Power of Rest - David Mitts

So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. (Heb 4:9) Click here to listen to " Hope and Shabbat " Hope is one of the 3 treasures of the spirit realm. Along with faith and love, hope activates what Yeshua called the Abiding Life. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1Co 13:13) There are 2 ways of interpreting this verse. First, we could interpret faith, hope, and love as qualities of the abiding life. In this way, they become fruits of abiding. When we abide in the Lord, our life contains more faith, more hope, and more love. The second perspective is to think of these as doorways into the abiding life, or access portals, In the same way that Yeshua is the door into the Kingdom and also the substance of the kingdom, these can serve both as fruits and as ways into the abiding life. So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. "All who came before Me

Hope and Eternal Life - David Mitts

A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing-- Life forevermore. (Psa 133:1-3) Click here to listen to " Hope and Eternal Life " Each year as the season's cycle, we see the leaves bud and return to the barren trees.    The Lord reminded me that the budding and the return of the leaves occurred naturally as the seasons cycled with the presence of daylight. The trees don’t do anything different, they just wait for the appointed time and the life that is in them knows when it is time to sprout out new growth. In the same way, we are entering into the time for new growth and an explosive manifestation of the life of God in us. This time of year is called   Av

Prophecy and Hope - David Mitts

At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus." (Rev 19:10) Click here to listen to " Prophesy and Hope " We have been looking at hope as the tractor beam from the Spirit realm, in our future, that is pulling us to our destiny. We have looked specifically at the role of vision. Vision is the image we carry on the inside of our hearts and minds. It isn’t just what we see but the lens we see it through.   Vision determines possibility.   If we can’t see it as a possibility, then we tend to believe for what we do see.   To change our possibilities in life we need to change how we see in our hearts. How we see in our hearts is often developed by what we have listened to in our lives. Words have been spoken into our lives that affect the image on th

The Anointing and Hope - David Mitts

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. (1Jn 2:20) Click here to listen to " The Anointing and Hope " Last session, we looked at the critical nature of association considering the image we carry on the inside of us that literally projects our destiny.   We don’t get the future we want; we get the future we picture! This isn’t about just visualization; it is also about the one who visualizes. The most important image we carry on the inside is how we see ourselves, in the light of God. Look with me at James 1:23-25. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like . But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it--not forgetting what they have heard but doing it--they will be blessed in what they do. (Jas 1:23-25) The mirror is the reflec
