B.E.S.T. Shabbat

You know, t-shirt wisdom is a quote usually from someone that people agree with. It can be a bible verse or some aphorism that someone spoke or wrote that motivated the thinking of those who ascribe to that philosophy or system of thought. The statement was “Hope is a poor strategy”. The idea was that if all you have is hope for things, then you stand very little chance of getting them, strategically. I thought about this for a while, because the Bible speaks about hope in a very different way. Let’s read a few verses. This isn’t about just visualization; it is also about the one who visualizes. The most important image we carry on the inside is how we see ourselves, in the light of God. (John 14:1-3) At Shavuot, Pentecost the disciples received the power to become the dwelling places of the Lord. In our pressing in for the anointing which is the power of the Mind of Christ, I want to press in for the place of abiding. Listen to " Abiding in the Anointing " Shavuot means weeks which is the celebration as you know of the arrival of Israel at Mount Sinai and the giving of Torah on the mountain through Moses. Seven or sheva is the number of completion as expressed in the Shabbat. Man was created to experience Shabbat as the abiding reality of the Lord.
