Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. - Eph 4:29 NKJV To listen to the audio-only version click below  Giving Opportunity Message   Communication is a vital part of all of our lives. Without it how do we interact with one another? Think about it…there are words, thoughts, pictures that are seen or heard for the most part. There is non verbal communication also however at its simplist form most communication is spoken and heard. Greek definition for communication is - logos Definition of communication - the imparting or exchanging of information or news. Tower of Babel - Echad Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake [them] thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had...

Battleground Earth 11: Gideon Part 3 - David Mitts

32Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, “Let Baal plead against him, because he has torn down his altar.” (Judges 6:32 (NKJV)) Click here to listen to " Gideon Part 3 " Last chapter, we looked at the tearing down by Gideon of the altar of Baal Peor and the Asherah pole, the idols of the Midianites. This was a declaration of war in the heavenlies against the attempts to appease the gods of the enemies of God and the Israelites. The response is immediate: 33Then all the Midianites and Amalekites, the people of the East, gathered together; and they crossed over and encamped in the Valley of Jezreel. (Judges 6:33 (NKJV) When the gauntlet is thrown by Gideon, by destroying the altar of Baal Peor and the Asherah pole, The followers are threatened at an existential level. This is hard for us to understand in our era of dissolving national identities. The closest thing we have to the heart attitudes of those who worship and an idol is our modern-day racial identi...

Faith and Thanksgiving - David Mitts

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Php 4:6-7) Click here to listen to " Faith and Thanksgiving " Over the last few weeks, we have been looking at the inner conversation we have that orders our lives which is called faith.   We recognized that God speaks “light” and “order” to our chaos and disorder which is the ever-present background conversation. We saw that the “waters” of Genesis 1 are the same waters that became “living waters” when Yeshua who is the eternal Word made flesh, the conversation of God made flesh, spoke and was heard.   This is echoed in the cry of the ancient Hebrew prayer, the Sh’ma expressed in Deut 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! (Deu 6:4) When we listen with our heart, we open our eyes to the ...

Faith and Grace - David Mitts

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. (Eph 2:4-9) Click here to listen to " Faith and Grace " We have been sharing about the inner conversation that is transformed in Messiah. We recognized that there are 2 voices that speak to us in our inner man, the voice of God and the voice of Chaos. These voices speak into our stream of thoughts which the scriptures express through the reality of the waters. Genesis 1:2-3 describes this process: The earth was formle...

Hope and Your Calling - David Mitts

But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, (Gal 1:15-16 ) Click here to listen to " Hope and Your Calling " The calling of God on our lives is from our mother’s womb. Therefore, no true Believer can ever sanction abortion because abortion is an act of violence against the call of God on that individual. We are set apart from our mother’s womb.   This is a distinction called holiness.   Holiness isn’t just about purity but also specificity.   To be holy is to have a specific intent or purpose.   Another word for this is hope.   Hope is our destiny, the specific intent that we were purposed for from our mother’s womb. Our calling is activated by grace.   Grace is a powerful word.   In Hebrew, the word is “Chen”, pronounced with a hard “h”. The li...
