Covenant is the heart of our salvation. We are saved not because of legalism or because of any conditions on our part, that would be works salvation. Instead, we are saved based on God’s word. God is both the author, the giver of the Word and the guarantee based on His Word, the completer of our salvation. This has always been the case.
