Purpose reflects perspective, how we see ourselves and our lives. Prophetic ministry is mostly about vision. The Bible tells us that without vision we lose restraint or discipline. “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is one who keeps the Law.” (Proverbs 29:18) The Hebrew root used here to convey the concept of being without a guiding vision, without restraint is “parah”. This word is translated in various ways. The word picture literally means to have your hair loose and wild. The hair is connected to the glory of an individual or the unique nature of that person. When we abide in the Lord, our life contains more faith, more hope, and more love. Last few weeks we have been looking at Divine Alignment with respect to the issue of how we perceive our self-worth.   The reason that this is so important is that human beings are created with a self-worth hunger, a vacuum in our souls that needs to be filled. (3 John 1:2 NASB) We see a connection between soul prosperity and financial prosperity and health.   The word translated as “prosper” means literally to be “well on your way”.   The picture I see in this is a sojourner who has found his or her path and is secure into it.   This is a result of knowing God intimately and knowing His confidence and pleasure in you. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, (2 Timothy 2:15-16 NASB). God holds us accountable for our level of diligence with our lives.  We are instructed to correctly handle or implement the Word of Truth in our lives and so operate without shame.  Shame both is the result of a lack of diligence and a factor influencing more lack of diligence.   Shame produces worldly and empty chatter.   This is a type of heart condition and speaking that is driven by the world and its influences and NOT the Word of God!
