Battleground Earth 8: The War in the Heavens - David Mitts

"The stars fought from heaven, from their courses they fought against Sisera.” (Jdg 5:20 NASB) Click here to listen to " The War in the Heavens " We have been looking at Justice in these unjust times. We have looked at four Judges in Israel and how their characteristics exemplify aspects that are part of justice from God’s perspective. This chapter I want to take a step back and look at a bigger perspective before we move on to our fifth judge, Gideon. The foundation text for today is Judges 5, which is called the Song of Deborah. Recalling Deborah, she is the fire prophetess who brings God’s Word in a way that defeats the enemies of Israel and God strategically in such a manner that there is a shift in the heavenlies. Let’s look at the big picture. The Apostle Paul lets us know that all conflicts are not with human agencies.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darknes...

Our Destiny and Hope - David Mitts

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling , consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house. For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end . (Heb 3:1-6) Click here to listen to " Our Destiny and Hope " Sons or daughters and servants have an entirely different destiny in the house of the Lord. In this verse, the writer of Hebrews contrasts 2 types of houses, the house of Moses and the House of Yeshua. Moses was appointed as the apostle o...

Hope through Association - David Mitts

A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing-- Life forevermore. (Psalms 133:1-3) Click here to listen to " Hope through Association " For the last couple of sessions, we have been looking at the key of image and vision in the activation of hope as an abiding reality in the pursuit of God’s destiny for our lives. The foundation stone revelation is that God created us in His image as a plural creation. Fundamentally, this means that we are created to express relationship. Reviewing: Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all...

Hope and Vision - David Mitts

Then the LORD answered me and said, "Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. "For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. (Hab. 2:2-3) Click here to listen to " Hope and Vision " Last session we began looking at hope through the lens of vision.   We realized that the vision we carry on the inside of ourselves about who we are affects what we have hope for.   Mostly, we saw that the image we have of God affects the image we have of ourselves and the nature of our reality.   Looking at Genesis, we saw that we are created in the image and likeness of God. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image , according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that cree...
