And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. - Luk 2:7 NASB20

In the hour that we are in it’s easy for us to get offended and to be discouraged because of the circumstances or the environment which doesn’t seem favorable. If we listen to the news as a source of input we can find ourselves feeling hopeless perhaps.

With all of the chaos and the many voices coming our way we want to make sure that we have room at the “inn” of our hearts for the voice of the Lord.

"And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the LORD. - Deu 8:3 NASB20

Yeshua also warns us in Matthew 24 about love growing cold as lawlessness is increasing.

"And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will become cold. "But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved. - Mat 24:12-13 NASB20

Don’t harden heart

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken [later;] but Christ [was faithful] as a Son over His house--whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope. Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS ON THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS, WHERE YOUR FATHERS PUT [ME] TO THE TEST, AND SAW MY WORKS FOR FORTY YEARS. "THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS'; AS I SWORE IN MY ANGER, 'THEY CERTAINLY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.'" Take care, brothers [and sisters,] that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another every day, as long as it is [still] called "today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end, while it is said, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME." - Heb 3:4-15 NASB20
