We have often struggled with having boldness in our speech. Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—(2Co 3:12) The key to boldness is expectation of a favorable outcome, what the Word calls a hope. Imagine a situation where you are being threatened but you know that your deliverance is at hand. That hope, that promise of salvation gives you boldness in your speech. What does it mean to recover our voice? Our voice is named as our testimony. Our testimony is our statement of truth. Think of an auto accident that you witnessed. Your witness is only valuable when you testify of what you have seen, what you perceive as what happened or as you think of it as “the truth”. To speak of the truth, you first must have witnessed the truth. We saw that life is in the blood, and that the blood has a voice. It speaks or pleads on our behalf against the voice of the accuser. The voice of the blood also invites the Lord to live in our house, the temple of His Presence. We receive a blood transfusion and a heart transplant when we receive the Lord. What’s holding me captive? Could it be, FEAR? More specifically the fear of DEATH For many of us, just the word death or the discussion of death invokes emotions and fears in our hearts. For some we begin to feel anxious and worried. For some we want to run, hide, avoid the conversation all together. The images of death presented bring a sense of finality, incompleteness, hopelessness, despair and the like. These images are what is in our hearts which empowers the “fear of death”.
