We spoke about the first three, the prophet, the servant and the teacher. We saw that the prophet operates by the principle of design. The servant operates by the principle of authority and the teacher by the principle of responsibility. Design is all about solving problems and the creativity of bringing forth the future. The ancient Hebrew word for gift is the word picture “natan”. This begins and ends with the pictogram of a seed, represented by the Hebrew letter, nun. In the middle of the word is the tav, which is the representation of the cross. We are all born gifted, with seed implanted in our hearts and then through the death and resurrection our natural seed becomes supernatural born again seed which is fullness of our destiny. Gifting and purpose are inextricably linked. “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God.” (1Pe 4:10) We see from this verse that the gifts we walk in are a testimony of the manifold, multifaceted grace of God.
